Show preparation and practice dates
Saturday August 25, September 1 and September 8 (show date!)

All performers are required to attend practice at the Takapuna location between 2-3 pm on the above dates in preparation for the show performance.

If you are unable to attend any of these three practices, it is unlikely you will be able to perform, as its is possible changes will be made to the choreography during these group rehearsals.

There is no charge for group rehearsals. Please contact me directly if you have any questions regarding these group performances on September 8.
Two Special New Classes - Saturady 11 & 18 August!
For students preparing for the Teacher/Student show on September 8 2007, two additional choreography/presentation classes will be held on Saturday 11 & 18 August, from 2-3pm at Takapuna.

If you wish to brush up, go over, or just practice your performance dance then this time is for you. Usual class fees apply to this class.
Saturday 4 August 2007 - No Technique class!
As a number of students will be joining the Tribal workshops with Pip from Christchurch, the Technique class is cancelled for this week only. The Technique class will resume the following week on Saturday 11 August focussing on Shimmies.
Technique class on Sat 21 July 2007 - Zils or Segat (Finger cymbals)
The use of Zils by a dancer enhances her understanding of rhythms and the basic structure of the music. As a dance prop, it can make your performance spectacular, and with the possibility of power cuts at this time of year, can ensure your performance continues if the lights go out (and the CD player stops!)

We will start with some basic techniques and rhythms, and progress to layering these patterns onto familiar stepping and hip movements. Come and enjoy the challenge.
